The United States House of Representatives declared in a nonbinding "sense of Congress" vote that any flag flown on federal property should be American-made. Only American-made flags fly over the Capitol, but more than 8,000 other federal buildings, including courthouses and post offices, are under no such obligation.

AmericanFlags.com applauds Congress on this move as millions of dollars worth of US flags are imported from China and other countries annually. If we are truly concerned about the American economy, then we should be buying goods that support our companies, our workers and our families. It seems like everything around us is foreign-made; we believe that an American flag should be made in America!
